voluneer needed to help edit video on Afro-Mexican communities. ColorLines Project. call 323-936-5417

We are looking for a young film editor (with digital editing equipment

available) interested in working intensely over a one week period of

time helping to edit filmed stories from folks from the African

diaspora in Mexico. The footage was shot over the last 6 months in

several Mexican communities primarily on the Pacific Coast and is the

work of the ColorLines Project which has a style of organizing and

activism that takes it's agenda from the "bottom" up. We are seeking to

put on display for the world to share the "voices of the voiceless".

Our idea is to create space and a vehicle for the "voices" of people

in those black communities in Mexico to be experienced, seen and heard.

You will be working closely with a long time activist who comes out of

SNCC and who has been committed activist for justice his entire life.

Interested? Please call! Time frame--preferably early August, but let's talk about it--
