Community Strike Support Network Update: Feb. 7 Rally at Eagle Rock Albertsons a Huge Success

Over 150 enthusiastic supporters showed for the Community Strike Support Network's February 7th march and rally at the Eagle Rock Blvd. Albertsons in Glassell Park. Oxy students, union members, people who lived in the community, and representatives from several community organizations joined together to march up Eagle Rock Blvd. in support of the striking and locked out grocery workers. Participants rallied at the store with brightly colored signs, while UFCW VP John Grant, Council member Antonio Villaraigosa, and other supporters, spoke with passion and conviction about the importance of this strike. ABC 7, KFWB radio, and several other media outlets were there to cover the event. Thank you to everyone who came out to support the workers, and the fight for health care and living wages!

We're Doing it Again!

Please join us for our next Community Strike Support Network march and rally at the Vons at 7311 N Figueroa Blvd. (major cross streets Colorado and Figueroa) at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 21st. We will do a similar march up Figueroa followed by a rally at the store. Please bring signs and spread the word!
