Los Angeles Count Baord of supervisors apporved agenda item 48 which moves to gain support from President Bush and others to pay reparations to German Jews. Some citizens found this tio be racist and unfair to blacks seeking reparations and acknowledgement of the Black Holocaust.
Over objection of the public the Los Angeles County Baord of Supervisors approved agenda item 48 to support German surviors of the holocaust to be paid reparations on Tuesday Novemeber 18, 2003 during their regular Board Meeting. Agenda item 48 moved to have President Bush and others support paying repaarations to German Jews. Its was founded on a bill from Waxman. Members of the public were outraged and one citizen faxed a detail opposition calling for an amendment to include blacks and pay them first or a complete oppositon. As most often occurs the Board approved their motion with no regard to the people's opposition and charge that it was racist, an international issue for the jews and a national more urgent necessary, and relevant matter for blacks. Mr. Peoples,a Los Angeles long standing activist for Black Reparations and owner and founder of the Mobil Black Holocaust Museum attended but did not speak. The public is needed to raise the fist by contacting your supervisor, Waxman, President Bush and others to support Black Reparations and the acknwledge the Black Holocaust. Many held that the County Supervisors were unfair , racist and wrong for supporting reparations for whites and not for blacks. Some felt its was because several Jews are members of the Board. To admit the Black Holocaust and fairly pay blacks reparations may be too much like a confession of American's great sin for whites and othres who made profit and continue to profit from slavery and mistreatment to Blacks.
