"Leading Democrats" Tom Daschle announced he plans to vote FOR the infamous Bush-Cheney energy bill - the biggest corporate giveaway in US history. Is it any wonder the public is chronically disgusted and enraged by the untrustworthiness and spinelessness of the Democratic party???
Tom Daschle obviously figures he has nothing to lose - No one wanted him as a presidential candidate because of his history of turncoating on key issues without warning and now he's up for reelection. Now in a reprehenibly self-interested bid to plump up his personal reelection chances in South Dakota next fall, Daschle plans to help hand Bush what he has wanted MOST since day one in office: the catastrophic, anti-environmental, anti-human health energy bill crafted in secret by Cheney and pals and padded to overflowing with corporate giveaways in closed door sessions by the Republicans. Does Daschle really imagine that even the people of South Dakota will thank him? You are a disgrace, Mr. Daschle! It is reps like you that have given the Democratic party its reputation of characterlessness with the American people! Tell Daschle what you think!
