On the Buses with the Immigrant Worker Freedom Riders
Taking their inspiration from the Freedom Riders of the 1960’s over 1,000 modern day freedom riders crossed the country on buses in late September
to campaign for immigrants rights. Building Bridges caught up with riders from Los Angeles and Houston when their buses were in the South. They told us why they took part in this Freedom Ride which culminated in New York’s Flushing Meadows Park on Saturday October 4th.
