A majority of Californians voted against Arnold Schwarzenegger

A majority of persons who voted in the October 7th special election cast their ballots for candidates other than Arnold Schwarzenegger. They voted against him.

The following calculations are based on information
that was posted on the California Secretary of State
WWW site as of 8:57 a.m. this morning.

I expect this data to change slightly over the course
of the next few weeks as thousands of other ballots
are counted and tabulated.

Despite claims of a "landslide victory" for Arnold
Schwarzenegger, the numbers clearly show that he has
NO mandate to govern California

So far, the numbers indicate that about 51.7% of those
persons who cast ballots in this election voted for
candidates OTHER than Schwarzenegger.

Since Schwarzenegger did not win a majority of the
vote in this election, he cannot claim that his views
and ideas represent the will of the electorate.

Sincerely,
