SAN DIEGO - Human rights activist Boyd E. Graves was arrested in front
of his San Diego home early Friday morning on charges of disturbing the
peace and disorderly conduct.

Graves' arrest came several hours after Graves opened arguments for
the full disclosure of the formerly secret U.S. Special Virus Program
inside the U.S. District Court for Southern California on July third.

"I was illegally arrested," Graves said from a telephone inside his
jail cell Sunday afternoon. "The officers left me inside the patrol car
cuffed, windows rolled up. They injected me with a needle full of
something. I told them I had AIDS. . . but I was injected anyway."

Graves said one of the arresting officers used a racial slur against
him.

"We knew the court would not allow the peoples' case against the U.S.
Special Virus Program to be so easily dismissed," Graves said
commenting on Thursday's court proceedings. "The stage is now set to dismantle
HIV/AIDS forever. Our process is irreversible and our efforts are the
result of good people around the world."

Graves said he expected to be released from police custody Monday.
