The Vox Mortuum Drawings, somber warnings against militarism, denounced the inhumanity and madness of war. In this particular Print, an enormous apparition of a martyred soldier is seen hanging over a triumphant military parade. A ghostly light emanates from the skeletal corpse, illuminating the path of the marching troops.

The Vox Mortuum Prints were exhibited at the Geneva arms limitation and reduction talks that took place in the early 1930's. The exhibit was arranged by the Foreign Minister of Poland.
