Build Your Own FM Transmitter Workshop

The Autonomous Media Center is organizing a "Build Your Own FM Transmitter" workshop in Tucson, AZ on Saturday, May 31, 2003. Attendees will build their own 1-watt FM transmitter from a Free Radio Berkeley kit under the supervision of experienced free radio technicians. The cost is $130 to $200 sliding scale, and includes the transmitter kit. A print-out registration form is available at the Autonomous Media Center site, more info is available at the site or by calling (520) 628-8720.

The Autonomous Media Center and the Arizona IMC are supporting independent media across the border by raising funds to build transmitters that will be donated to free radio projects in northern Mexico. We are also participating in planning a large-scale conference to be held in Hermosillo, Sonora during November of 2003. Colectividades 2003 will offer hands-on workshops and trainings in various independent media, among other themes. Visit Arizona Indymedia for updates on this project and contact colectividades2003 (at) greenbicycle.net to find out how you can support it.
