A Note on Troll Tactics

The function of most of the Trolls who infest this site is to disrupt, spread, and test disinformation lines to see how easy, or difficult, they are to defuse.

One of the recent Troll tactics I have noticed, and this began a couple of months ago, is to go into the archives and resurface old Threads that are long and time consuming to load and read.

I have held back on commenting because I wanted the pattern well established for what it is. A disruption of the Sites Operation maneuver. I also held back because I did not want to suggest the idea if that was not the case. It seems to occur most frequently when a lot of articles that the Trolls have no good response to start hitting the comment board.

You will notice that almost invariably the nickname used to resurface these long, out of date, Threads will be one that is seldom if ever seen at any other time.

About the only reasonable response I can suggest is to ignore the attempts and bump current articles back to the top.

Anyone else got any thoughts on the matter?
