Italy, in Rome national rally for peace

Yesterday April 12 at least 500.000 demonstrated in Roma for peace and against imperialistic plans for infinite war.

Many USA citizens gave publicity to their presence.
A very determined male USA activist spoke from the stand about the positions of USA pacifist movement.

National media's attempts to depict as senseless the protest in front of the changed scenery in Irak, proved to be totally in vain.

No followers had also the choice of some moderate politician in the anti-war front and UIL union not to partecipate to the rally.

Many were also the news around about the annulment of the rally. A train-strike completed the list of obstacles who pacifists had to face.

When the "head" of the rally reached the halting-place of the demonstration, one hour and a half after starting, the "tail" had still to move.

Who had doubts about the strenght and the intelligence of the pacifist movement can now definitively relax/be frightned.
