Let there be light

Faith based solar initiative

When god said let there be light and turned on the sun, mankind was endowed with the power of the lord. Not just the power to see, but also the power to fulfill his wildest dreams of flying, traveling, and feeding himself.
When man decided that he needed to take control over his brothers wallets, we were given fossil fuels, water power that hurt our rivers, and worse, nuclear energy (which when judged by it's effects on the environment can only be seen as the devils power itself).
Why is solar power so important to us as religious people, because the lord said unto us, "ask and ye shall receive," and he has given us the bounty of creation. As god's children we have a responsibility to eliminate the "tyranny of evil men," that run our energy companies. We have a responsibility to be good caregivers to his (or her) Earth, a gift given to man on borrowed time.
That is why we are creating a new initiative today, for all religions and all people of our creator(s), a faith based initiative predicated on our love for this gift of life we have been given.
The program will be called Let there be Light, the power of the creator.
We intend to harness the resources to put solar panels on as many low income rooftops as we can over the next few years, and after that for everyone, to drastically reduce our cities dependency on the Enron's of the world and to free up government subsidies for our schools. Even an atheist can't argue with that.

Currently the program is in it's first stages of development and could use some assistance with Non-Profit status and fundraising. Also, anyone wishing to volunteer is welcome. Please contact us at 213-923-3166 if you can help. Let us show the government how worthless they really are by doing something for ourselves that we've been expecting them to do for years. It may not work everywhere, but it will help California for sure.
