Long Beach Police Urge Finks to Call in and Report "Suspicious" People in their Neighborhoods.

The Long Beach Police Department is urging people to call in and report suspicious behavior on the part of anyone they observe (read behavior by Arabs or neighbors with peace signs in their windows). Needless to say, the suspicious behavior is left undefined, so that any red neck can call in and say that a guy who wears a turban lives across the street and sometimes comes home late at night, setting off an investigation that may get the turban wearer evicted or deported. Of course, we can rest assured that no one who dislikes their neighbors because they play their radio too loud or let their cats roam free will be tempted to call in and let the cops know that something suspicious is going on out of pure malice. Not a chance. And racism and xenophobia will play no role at all, either on the part of the finks and busybodies or on the part of the police.

Maybe one way to defeat this is to call the number the cops give - (562)570-5593 - and flood them with reports of real terrorist activity. Let them know that there are people in camoflage uniforms running amok through Iraq, murdering people at will and bombing water purification facilities. Tell them these loons call themselves the US Marine Corps or the Army Screaming Eagles. Also tell them that thugs in blue shot a massively obese, pyschotic Black woman to death in Long Beach last year outside a supermarket, allegedly because they were terrified that she was going to throw a knife at them from many feet away. The poor fellows must have thought she was a graduate of Green Beret training camp. Also report that a few months later other blue-clad thugs attacked a demonstration by anarchists, clubbing and arresting people for daring to exercise their Constitutional rights in Long Beach.
