Our weakness is all encompasing

Rachel Corey and the legacy she left.

Within days of being in Palestine Rachel Corey was privy to knowledge that many are not. The truth is that our weakness is overwhelming. Apartheid, Holocaust, Stalin, things we promised to, "always," remember and never become, have finally become the very center of ourselves. For too long others have controlled the way we travel, the way we see the world, the way we see the influence of our power. This morning, on ABC, the news allowed a bedraggled idiotic government to blame the breakup of the U.N. on France. Despite the fact that several times it was quietly stated that the U.S. and Brittian didn't have the votes regardless, anchors constantly hinted that France was to blamein a brash and ruder than French way. Rachel's death is the first, the martyr, of a legacy of ineptitude we have allowed to be bread in our children. Because no one taught the driver of the bulldoser what it meant to care for people enough to want to save their home. Each individual Israeli is responsible for his actions, as slaves, and even their go between semi slaves, soldiers, and others take orders, God still gives them the choice. Let her death be a lesson to all who would raise their children to hate, that you must teach your kids of moral choices. In light of her great strength, we must always remember we are but weaklings, who must ever search for the place where we are good. And she has given us an example of how strong we could be, have to be, to stop this. Perhaps now, her face will guide the way for a demand for peace. Thank you Rachel, enjoy your wings.
