I am working on a documentary examining the loss of civil liberties in a post-9/11 America. I am looking for footage of any INS detentions as well as the protests related to those detentions.

We are producing a documentary examining the increasing loss of civil liberties in the U.S. post 9-11 called Lockdown on Mainstreet (working title). This doc will appear on the DVD Special Edition of The Running Man. It will exist as a stand-alone feature on the DVD, and is a chance to get a message about the current crisis in civil liberties out to a mainstream audience.

We are documentary filmmakers, working in Hollywood, who make DVD supplemental material which places dominant movies in a cultural and political context. Running Man is a dystopic action picture based on a Stephen King novel in which every citizen’s movement is monitored and controlled by the government. We are interested in using this fictional movie as an opportunity to comment on how laws being enacted today could lead to similar situations in the future if the Bush administration’s policies continue unabated.

I am writing because we would like to highlight the issues such as INS detentions and the protests in response to those detentions in our documentary. I am looking for someone who might have videotaped those detentions and/or protests as we need video fo those events. Can anyone help? Please contact me, I look forward to hearing from you.
