San Gabriel Valley Neighbors Peace Vigil Report

Weekly Peace Vigil in the SGV, every Friday, 5:30 to 7:00, Main and Garfield in Alhambra. Please go!

This Friday, we had around 25 people show up to hold signs and encourage people to honk for peace. We got a lot of support from the commuters. We wished more would come and join us! Especially my Asians. We're great at honking the horns; it's time to take it to the next level!

The accordian girl from Temple City was there again, and I'm very sorry, but I forgot her name. She's so cute... and what a big heart! Lilia from Alhambra brought us delicious tamales. I took cookies; that was my contribution. (I'm from Rosemead/South San Gabriel.) And as usual Alvaro (the organizer) had chips and dip. This group is a bunch of revolutionary Martha Stewarts.

The group is LOOKING FOR AN ARTIST to help with our signs and banners. The group wants a sign to hold at big demos.

The next demo is Dex. 27th. I think there's plans to march a couple block through the urbane zone in Alhambra. That should be cool. We gotta get more people out of their seats. Walking can lead to tangible action.

On January 3rd, the SGV Neighbors for P&J will be screening HIDDEN WARS OF DESERT STORM for free. 7:30 PM after our demo. I'll post the info on the calendar.

If you have anything at all to add, please do so!
