to explain what Measure EE does to protect renters from unfair evictions in Oakland.

The Oakland City Council is expected to Certify Measure EE on Tuesday, December 17, 2002, before it can go into effect. A strong tenant turn out is expected to support Measure EE and Just Cause for the final passage of Measure EE into law.

On Tuesday, Dec 10, at 4pm--Oakland activists and renters head
to Oakland City Hall to seek the prosecution of Slumlord Richard E. Thomas
for the theft of renters Security Deposits. Victims of Richard E. Thomas have
united in the struggle to seek justice,and shall meet with officials from the
offices of the Mayor, District Attorney, and City Attorney.
Join in to support activists, and the victims of Richard E. Thomas to seek
justice against rent scams in Oakland.
Meet at the Steps of Oakland City Hall.
When: Tuesday, December 10, at 4pm.
