Going to the Beach?

Don't forget to wear your toxics!

Gone shopping for that swimsuit before your beach trip? First, you'd better check the labels! Behind the Nike, Dolfin, Speedo, etc. labels that run prices of swimwear up to $60.00 or more, there's the label that tells what the things are made of. And what you find is, almost universally, swimwear is manufactured out of toxic, petroleum based synthetics. Now you know why the things wear out so fast. And of course, there's all the toxic waste that is generated in the manufacturing process.

Corporate America at its worst. If we need to be wearing anything to the beach, we should be choosing items made of natural cotton or hemp fabric. We should be more tolerant of what people wear to the beach, especially if it's made of natural material-not everyone can afford $60.00 Nike trunks. Spare our Planet from the assault of more toxic waste!
