Attention Anaheim, Buena Park, Fullerton, La Habra, and Placentia Voters!
Beware of Right-Wing Republican Chris Norby!
Anti-Union, Anti-Affirmative Action, Anti-Immigration!

Fullerton Councilman Chris Norby is a candidate running for a seat in the 4th Supervisor District. Most of his campaign funding has come from outside of the district; primarily from conservative South Orange County.

Mr. Norby is a teacher who has benefited from being in the local union at the Brea-Olinda Unified School District. Yet, this is what he had to say about unions:
" Coad" vs. "Norby", L.A. Times, 01/24/02:
"Norby expressed skepticism and frustration with the board's labor pact, saying that it hurts many Orange County nonunion contractors and aids Democrats, who frequently receive campaign contributions from unions."

" ‘The [pact] helps to elect people like [Assemblyman] Lou Correa and
[U.S. Rep.] Loretta Sanchez, where 98% of the union money goes,’ Norby said."

Immigrant bashing Republican B-1 Bob Dornan WAS in the congressional seat that Loretta Sanchez occupies.
therefore,

NORBY = DORNAN

In addition, Chris Norby was a keynote speaker at a California Coalition for Immigration Reform meeting held on January 23rd. Barbara Coe, the co-author of Prop 187, had this to say about Candidate Norby on the CCIR hotline:
"….Chris Norby, a candidate for the Orange County Board of supervisors, will be our keynote speaker. He is running against Cynthia Coad, and since we are all aware of her position on illegal immigration, this may be our opportunity to help put a ‘truly loyal American’ into a critically important position…."

Xenophobe Barbara Coe is unhappy with Supervisor Cythia Coad because she supported a local clinic for low income familes, many of whom are migrant laborers. Gee we should instead tell these people who do thankless back breaking work that if they are sick or injured that they should just suffer. Norby is not even a "compassionate conservative". Even Bush and Riordan support benefits for immigrants (documneted or not!) One must wonder if Mr. Norby the teacher expells students from his classroom who are not US citizens.
