This is the first image of three by artist Rittee Tarugsa

The first is the image of Bin Laden as Che Guevara. I have decided to change the title from "CHESAMA" to "BINCHE". By combining the words "BIN" with "CHE", it becomes BINCHE. BINCHE also means "FUCKEN" in Spanish.

In other third world contries such as Pakistan, Thailand (in which Islam is the second largest religion, making up at least five percent of the population), and Peru ( in which there are no

Muslims at all), they are selling Bin Laden T-shirts. These t-shirts expose Bin Laden's famous potrait. But, I have made a new kind of image for him, that is "CHESAMA". Those other countries are depicting to people around the world that he is the new revolutionary hero, just like Che was or also Ho Chi Minh.

Just last week, the second Cal Arts Teach-in happened with Charles Gaines, Tom lawson, and other Critical Studies teachers lecturing and answering questions. The main concern was about art in relation to our new situation crisis. They were talking about how to subvert the media. Ther

seems to be an interest and configuration about how to make political art. I stood up and spoke to everyone about those other countries selling Bin laden T-shirts. I told them that in order to expose leftist views, leftist education, and leftist politics out in our society, we should them start making Bin Laden t-shirts as well. they should be sold for cheap, not only in Cal Arts but in other universities and colleges. If this happens, it will lure or seduce the media into the leftist attention. And, having the image of Bin Laden is pretty straight foward. There then can be no way for the media to subvert their viewers in their own opposing view.

I agree that Bin LAden being sadistic, nihilistic and unhumanitarian. Mark Hagen said the same thing to me when I showed this image to him (but, then again, other people gave me good responses). Many innocent lives have been taken away from 911.

One thing that I think to myself is that most of the peolple who died in the WTC are part of the

hierarchy of the capitalist system. Unfortunately, they did not expect something like this to happen.

But think about it, especially we as artists. We are too political to have any position of proffession in that Tower, nor do anthropologists, activists, punks, gangbangers, to the extent of most the of the labor class people. But again, Bin Laden is moraly bad. ........ .....I don't know. Sometimes I can't make up my mind whether what is right or wrong. This is a complicated issue.

Ever since 911, I was the only one to paste up these images in Cal Arts. Overwhelmed by the passivity of the students and not taking part, I just made more and more different kinds to the point were I didn't care whether the images were perfect or not. Its better to be productive. At

least I can learn from my mistakes. And, at least I'm not physically hurting anyone.

I tell you one thing, If I were in that tower, I wouldn't mine dying in there for the sake of the end of capitalism. But, if I had the chance to fly that plane into the tower, I wouldn't do it. And that is because I belive in karma.

To think of it in another way, the past has already happened. We can't changed what happened. And, if it were'nt for the destruction of the WTC, there would be no spark of revolution. Nothing is permenant. The U.S is ignorant of the true reality of existance, that is the metaphysical law of

impermenance.

I don't know what Leftist means to you, but leftist to me means any thing besides modernity or anything besides Western rightwing. I see leftists as including religion too, because I belive that religion can solve man's modern problems. Any religion will do. And the more religions there are, the more diverse. All religions contain their goal for peace. Different religions are like different

ethnicities. All ethnicities and races have the potential for cooperation and peace if they understand deeply in the heart and mind. Good moral, or any kind of good moral is leftist compared to they way we are living right now.
