In the spirit of continuing the epic struggle against revisionism first carried out by Karl Marx and Frederick Engles and later by V. I. Lenin, J. V. Stalin, Mao Tse-tung and now by the guiding Thought of Chairman Gonzalo, the greatest living Marxist, the red fraction in the United States must broaden and deepen its struggle against Marxist revisionism particularly against the Right Opportunist Line [ROL] which has structured itself within the RCP/USA and it imperialist bourgeois agents abroad in the Co-RIM. The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Peru, in its recent proclaimation "Long Live the XXI Anniversary of the People's War!", has now explicitly and finally denounced the Co-RIM once and for all. In so doing, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Peru has torn away the revolutionary mask of the Avakian clique and exposed them as bourgeois agents of reaction that they are. This event leaves no viable representaive of Marxist-Leninist-Maoists from the United States within the RIM organization. What claim do they now have to represent the signators of the RIM declaration and the Maoists of the world? None.
It is then incumbent on those Maoists in the United States who have lead the struggle against the ROL structured within the RCP/USA in general, and the Avakian clique in the Co-RIM in particular, to step forward and carry the struggle against the ROL in the United States to its just and correct conclusion and demand that the Co-RIM be disolved and that a new leadership take control of the Maoist movement in the United States. It can be no other way. Materialist dialectics necessitates material changes in the leadership. Mere scraps of paper in the form of "programmes" changes nothing. The RCP/USA's new programme is nothing more than pablum fed to idealistic children who only wish to be fooled. The RCP/USA, over the last several years has been exposed as liars time and time again. They lied about the peace accords. They claimed that Chairman Gonzalo had signed a peace accord when he had not. They lied again and said Chairman Gonzalo was on a hunger strike when he was not. They have humiliated Chairman Gonzalo in their newspaper for nine years by publishing an unauthorized and unflattering photograph of the greatest living marxist. They were asked to stop this practice many many times, but they did not. They lied twice within the last one year about the peace negotiations in Nepal. And they lied about the Damian Garcia murder. And they lie again when they say the new fraction had nothing to do with the RCP/USA! Have they not?
With this in mind, we ask, on what grounds does the ruling clique in the RCP/USA claim the right to represent Maoists in the United States? Not on the ground of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, but on the bourgeois right to private property. They have the keys to the businesses, they are the signators on the checks, they hold the business licences. This sounds like a formidable obstace to control over the RCP/USA, but it is not. In any event, it is, I believe, obligatory on American Maoists to at least see that the RCP/USA does no further harm abroad. This cannot be done by criticizing in private and remaining silent in public. Those who have opposed the ROL in the Co-RIM must not only speak out, but now must unite to form an enduring leadership which is organized to crush and expose all convergences with the ROL in the United States and abroad. Those who do not step forward to combat the ROL, its manifestations in the United States the RCP/USA and Co-RIM, reject class struggle, dialectial materialism and Marxism as a whole and are no longer worthy of neither titles Commrade or Communist.
