Demonstation called at KPFK Wed. Sept. 19 7 - 10 am

Live broadcasts of news journal, Democracy Now! could be heard on a regular basis over kpfk's air waves through out Southern California until recently.

Amy Goodman and the Democracy Now! team have been producing at least one hour of essential radio journalism Monday through Friday - Current editions of Democracy Now! (in exile) can be heard on KPFA in Berkeley. The show can be heard on the internet - and many fm stations around the U.S. -

If you tuned your dial to 90.7 KPFK this morning to hear Amy's report from ground zero - you might have wondered why you were listening to an archival edition of the show.

Amy Goodman and the crew continue to produce Democray Now! (in exile) from a station just blocks from where toxic smoke and dust eminate from what once was the world trade towers. The live feed is available to kpfk station manager Mark Schubb. He claims that he must use the outdated archival shows provided by the renegade national mangement of Pacifica instead. Some may call this a clear example of censorship. Some may wish to split hairs.

If you are able to come to kpfk anytime between seven and ten this coming wednesday morning, please join with other listeners to demonstrate your concern about the censorship of Democracy Now! (in exile).
