Meeting on L.A. Gentrification

by JK Saturday, Jun. 23, 2001 at 5:44 PM

There will be a meeting this Monday at 7pm about the "revitalization" plans for downtown LA.

I signed up for the mailing list for www.newdowntown.com , the website for the "revitalization" plans for downtown LA. Usually "revitalization" means turning the area into an upscale trendy place for yuppie types, which raises the property values and forces the non-rich out of the neighborhood.

Anyhow, that mailing list sent out the following email to me today. Nice to give so much advance notice about the meeting. It's on Monday.
