A mysterious fight broke out early this morning on the sidewalk outside LaborReady, the temporary agency providing scabs for the Hollander Home Fashion Plant. To those present at both, the altercation bore an uncanny resemblance to a fight several weeks ago at the Hollander Plant where several of the striking workers and a least one student bystander were arrested. In both instances, employees, alledgedly from LaborReady, provoked the encounters, escalated the intensity and then called the police, accusing those who were attacked or those attempting to stop the struggle of assault. They also demanded a citizen's arrest in both cases.

This morning, Bill Neil, of the International Socialist Organization and Silas, a Unite organizer, were arrested (and subsequently released and charges dropped) after intervening to stop the fight.

Those present this morning at LaborReady were standing by to greet early-morning protesters with the good news that no protest would be necessary, Hollander and the striking workers settled their strike last night. (More news on the settlement in a later article.)
