The Gap "Code of Vendor Conduct" says that pay for overtime must be greater than pay for regular time. Therefore, a factory producing Gap clothing that paid, for instance, 40 cents an hour, would merely have to pay 41 cents an hour overtime to avoid violating the Code. (Moreover, overtime pay would not even kick in until after the 60th hour of work in a week, according to the Code.) The Gap Code of Vendor Conduct can be viewed at http://www.gapinc.com/about/global_manuf/code_overview.htm>
