A Billionaire for Bush (or Gore) portrays the "humanitarian" Don Fisher.

The Gap has a "Code of Vendor Conduct" requiring the factories with which it contracts to adhere to certain labor standards. (Its webpage points out that The Gap does not own any of these factories, as if this makes them somehow less responsible for the working conditions under which their goods are produced.) The Gap boasts that it has "over 80" employees monitoring factories and enforcing its Code. Assuming this number is sufficient for the task, it must be remembered that these are employees of The Gap, a fact that must have a chilling effect on the vigorousness of their "investigations." The Gap Code of Vendor Conduct can be viewed at http://www.gapinc.com/about/global_manuf/code_overview.htm>
