Oly Earth Firsters and other activists and rabble rousers have occupied the Gore Headquarters in Olympia, Washington (USA) since about 11:30 this morning.
-11:00am rally and march which led people to Gore's headquarters.
-At about 11:30 people occupied the building
-A party was had and (of course) a meeting was held.
200 took the building
100 are still there (5:00pm-The ROCK!!!)

Statement of purpose from the people currently being arrested by the Olympia police for occupying the Thurston County Democrats Headquarters:
US, Columbian, and all other colonialist governments are
illigitemate. They are artificially super imposed, brutaly and violently exploiting the earth, animals and people. We do not recognize you as having any authority over us, But unfortunately, you have "power" only because the masses defer it to you in socialized allegiance. So we demand you
acgnowledge the illigitemacy of your power by RECOGNIZING THE EXISTING SOVEREIGNTY OF INDIGENOUS CULTURES. Take a stand, Gore! Put the Earth, Animals and People before your profit. STOP THE MASSACRE OF THE U'WA NOW. Then resign. Wake up and work for fundamental change or disapear
in shame.
For our unstable culture and economy to survive, we have continually consumed, preyed upon and devoured the Earth, assuming its existence solely for its use; Animals, taking their bodies as slaves; and Humans, as the hands for labor and the extraction of profit. This imbalance requires
chronic and systematic oppression and exploitation; this is evident today in the foreboding potential of the U'WA MASSACRE . It is evident that today, and everyday, WE ARE ON INDIAN LAND. How many finite slashes of combustion cycles, how many miles of driving, how many acts of
frivelous consumption can ever warrant or justify the destruction of any culture. Is 1.5 billion barrels of oil enough? (Editors note: This is the quantity of oil underneath the U'WA land, which they are currently defending against drilling incursions of Occidental Petroleum.) NEVER!
We challenge ourselves to realize our worth is not how much we conquer, consume or hoard, but that our value is inherent. That the Earth is our Mother and what we do to it we do to ourselves. We must shut off these tyranical constricting skins of government and culture. We must eat,
work and live lightly, in cooperation, because it is mutually beneficial for others and ourselves. Take action in the creation of your community, in shelter, food, water and warmth! Live fully. Live well.
