Tuesday, August 15, 2000. Cardboard caskets are held up in a silent demonstration against the genocidal sanctions against Iraq. According to UN estimates, over 1.5 million Iraqis have died since the implementation of US-led sanctions. 5,000 Iraqi children die each month due to malnutrition and lack of medicine.
