If Soros supports the immediate legalization of hemp, why has he contributed so much money to various prohibitionist Democratic Party politicians? Soros' fortune was derived by unethical methods such as heavy investments in Boeing and currency speculation, etc. Just because he's given a fraction of his bread to support the reform you mention, doen't seem like a valid reason for independent media activists to allow themselves to be used as a publicity shield for Soros while he tries to project himself as a "philanthropist." Check out a recent issue of CounterPunch for an indication of the role Soros's foundations play in helping to implement the Democratic Party Establishment's policy of military intervention in Yugoslavia/Kosovo in recent years.
