On September 29th, Turkish news agencies informed the Turkish and world public about a so-called PKK attack in which 12 people of Kurdish origin (7 of whom were Village Guards working for the “security” forces) were said to have lost their lives. They were mowed down in their minibus near the village of Hemkan attached to Beytushebab town of Shirnak province neighboring Iraq.

No war! Say thanks to Turkey! (tags)
Turkey has voted against war on their neighbor. But with Bush arm-twisting, they could vote again! We should express anti-war solidarity with the people of Turkey, just as we express anti-war solidarity with the people of Iraq.
It's funny that the president brags about having the support of Spain, Italy, Slovenia, Poland, Hungary, Lithuania, Estonia, Bulgaria and Denmark. Those countries together couldn't whip Iraq.
