'This is not our war' (tags)

US Army Pfc. Roger Lewis has been in Iraq for 13 months and is backing Bush in November. However his father, a Vietnam Vet, is throwing his support behind Kerry. But the one thing they both agree on is; the US has no business fighting this war.

The Ultimate Betrayal (tags)

The newspapers on December 30 reported that 477 American GIs had died in the war. But what is not usually reported is that for every death there are four or five men and women seriously wounded. The term "seriously wounded" does not begin to convey the horror. Sergeant Feldbusch's mother, Charlene Feldbusch, who, along with his father, virtually lived at his bedside for two months, one day saw a young woman soldier crawling past her in the corridor. She had no legs, and her three-year-old son was trailing behind. These people pay the price because Americans lack the courage to throw the lying government out on its ass. Every one of those crippled kids looks at America with one message in their eyes, "You could have stopped this, but didn't".

A bloody day in Iraq (tags)

"... the horror, the horror." At the Iraqi town of Fallujah resistance fighters ambushed a "coalition forces" SUV with rocket propelled grenades and small arms, killing the four riding in the vehicle. After the guerillas struck and disappeared, the people of Fallujah came out to inspect the aftermath of the attack. The passengers obviously worked for the "coalition forces"... on their bodies were found dog tags, weapons, an American passport and a U.S. Department of Defense identification card. The gathered crowd then pulled the charred corpses from the vehicle... beat and mutilated them, dragged them to the nearest bridge over the Euphrates River, and hung them from it. The masses chanted "Fallujah is the graveyard of Americans!" We can still hear Vice President Dick Cheney's words ringing in our ears, "We'll be greeted as liberators." (AP photo/Sabah Arar)

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE EMPIRE (tags)

Because the President of the United States is getting burned in Iraq every day, along with the military forces he commands, by those geniuses over at the American Enterprise Institute, and their neocon amen corner in the administration, who told him that American troops would be greeted as "liberators," that it would be a "cakewalk," and that the entry of our troops into Baghdad was like the march into Paris in the summer of 1944. Then why are the Iraqis responding as if it's the summer of 1940 – and they're the French Resistance?
