Tomorrow an American kangaroo court will find Saddam Hussein guilty and sentence him to death. (Thats not to say Saddam Hussein isn't a corrupt thug, just that he couln't possible get a fair trial from George W. Bush. Of course George W. Hitler couldn't possiblely get a fair trial in Baghdad for murdering thousands of Iraqi citizens in an illegal unconstitutiona war, but that doesn'nt mean George W. Bush isn't a serial murderer)
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE EMPIRE (tags)
Because the President of the United States is getting burned in Iraq every day, along with the military forces he commands, by those geniuses over at the American Enterprise Institute, and their neocon amen corner in the administration, who told him that American troops would be greeted as "liberators," that it would be a "cakewalk," and that the entry of our troops into Baghdad was like the march into Paris in the summer of 1944. Then why are the Iraqis responding as if it's the summer of 1940 – and they're the French Resistance?
Vindication is no Consolation (tags)
The protection by US troops of the Oil Ministry in Baghdad while allowing the looting of the National Museum is a vivid illustration of the real reason for the war, but it is no consolation to the suffering and maimed Iraqi children.
