Until now the GRP has failed to release Randall Echanis ,detained NDFP consultant and KMP depurty secretary general and a FQS activist. The US-Arryo regime has failed to quash its made-up charges against those with warrants of arrest. Echanis has been languishing in jail together with other NDF consultants since the breakdown of the peace talks four years ago. Pesante-USA condemns the US-Arroy's reign of terror against the Filipino peasants especially those who are involved with the KMP, ANAKPAWIS, BAYAN MUNA, GABRIELA and other progressive groups. More than 745 persons have been killed since Arroyo asssumed power in 2001. "The US-Arroyo terrorism will backfire and will only earn emnity and disdain from the people/ For sure she will suffer the same fate that befell Marcos, Estrada and other tyrants who oppressed the Filipino people." The people of Thailand did not let up their protest and boycotted the elections that Thaksin maneuvered to save his political career.
