In early August the American government decided to launch a limited “humanitarian action” – in the form of mass bombing! – in Iraq, after an international campaign to mobilize public opinion over the plight of the Yazidi and Christian minorities who have been threatened with “genocide” by the advance of Islamist rebels of “the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant” (better known by the acronym ISIS).

A comienzos de agosto, el gobierno estadounidense decidía lanzar una “operación humanitaria” limitada en Irak bajo la forma de bombardeos. No sin antes haber realizado una campaña internacional de movilización de la opinión pública con respecto a las minorías yazidíes y cristianas que habrían sido amenazadas de “genocidio”, en virtud del avance de los rebeldes islamistas del “Estado Islámico de Iraq y el Levante” (mejor conocidos por sus siglas en inglés ISIS).
