The 5:32 AM Train to Washington, D.C. (tags)
A lot has changed since 9/11, mostly all for the worse. When I took the commuter train from Baltimore to Washington, D.C., on the morning of Aug. 7, 2007, “Big Brother” knew I was on it, since an ID is needed to buy a ticket. When I got to D.C., “Big Brother’s’” cameras watched me get on and off the Metrorail. When I tried to videotape a demonstration at the DOE, a security guard threatened to confiscate my camcorder and to put me “in handcuffs!”
OJ and Dubya: Both in Denial, Both Unrepentant (tags)
O.J. Simpson and George W. Bush have a lot in common. They are both unrepentant wrongdoers, who are in denial about their outrageous conduct. Thankfully, OJ’s book escapade was foiled by outraged public opinion. Bush, and his cohort, VP Dick Cheney, however, intend to “stay the course” in Iraq and maybe attack Iran. Only the U.S. Congress can stopped the duo. Impeachment is Constitutionally mandated. Will Congress do its duty?
Lieberman’s Electoral Fate Tests Power of Wirepullers (tags)
Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman, the ultra Iraqi War Hawk, is up for reelection in Connecticut on Nov. 7th. He lost the Democratic primary, but has re-created himself as an Independent. Ned Lamont is his opponent. If Lieberman can be defeated, it will be a blow to the Wirepullers and also an opportunity for antiwar forces to reshape the new Congress, which may lead to impeachment proceedings, in 2007, against both George W. Bush and Dick Cheney.
When Propaganda Controls America’s Thinking (tags)
Propaganda is a science. No one knows that better than the Bush-Cheney Gang. It cleverly used every scare tactic and lie available to con the country into the Iraqi War. In the Dubai port deal, those same kinds of ruses were turned against it. George Bush was hoisted up on his own petard. The great Oswald Spengler reminds us of how the Media can influence us, via repetition, into believing any kind of lie. Now, will the U.S. be lied into a war with Iran?
