Helmut Schmidt: Sanctions against Russia are a "Foolish Thing" (tags)

Schmidt considers the sanctions now imposed as a “foolish thing,” not as a sensible or appropriate reaction to the assimilation of the Crimea in the Russian Federation. Sharper sanctions should not be imposed. In his opinion that would be even greater nonsense.

Chertoff and his Gestapo replace Gonzales? (tags)

William Rivers Pitt writes about the traitors in the evil US/UK junta, and it's one of the best articles I've read lately. There's something missing in the whole though: people in general - not only in the US - seem to land from the frying pan into the fire when Chertoff, the present 'Gestapo chief' of the US, replaces Gonzales.

URGENT: ACT NOW (!) TO UNHIJACK THE ELECTION (tags)

The 2004 Presidential election is NOT over! There's evidence the election may have been "hijacked" by fraud and that Bush has NOT won. A nationwide grassroots movement is underway to uncover the fraud, get the votes counted (or recounted) and file lawsuits, and YOUR HELP IS NEEDED NOW. Please spread the word, pitch in some volunteer time, help recruit volunteers with legal and/or computer expertise, and consider donating money. The Presidency won't be decided until the Electoral College meets on December 12; it's not too late to Redefeat Bush Again.

Kerry’s Support of Iraq Invasion & Bush Doctrine Still Unexplained (tags)

Back in October 2002, when Senator Kerry voted to grant President Bush a blank check to make war, he tried to scare the American public into thinking that such an invasion was essential to the defense of the United States. Despite a lack of credible evidence, Kerry categorically declared that “Iraq has chemical and biological weapons” and even claimed that most elements of Iraq’s chemical and biological weapons programs were “larger and more advanced than they were before the Gulf War.” Furthermore, Kerry asserted that Iraq was “attempting to develop nuclear weapons,” backing up this accusation by claiming that “all U.S. intelligence experts agree” with such an assessment. He also alleged that “Iraq is developing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) capable of delivering chemical and biological warfare agents, which could threaten Iraq’s neighbors as well as American forces in the Persian Gulf.” Every single one of these claims, no less than similar claims by President Bush, was false.

George W. Bush Loves Michael Jackson (tags)

Courageously avoiding any issues of real substance, like Body Bags, the daily death toll in Iraq, the corruption of the Bush Regime, the protests in London, the toppling of the George Statue, or anything else; the mainstream Press Whores are doing their level best to bury it under the latest lurid Michael Jackson Headline. Just what we need to know: Jacko is a pervert. Gosh! Who'd a thunk.

After several years teaching high school, I've heard all the excuses. How America Lost The War (tags)

We need, first of all, to get our terms straight so as to achieve a sense of clarity regarding the issue of America's moral standing on the matter.  Saddam Hussein was not defeated.  He was not overthrown, bested, beaten or destroyed.  Saddam Hussein was fired, relieved of his position by a nation that hired him for a dirty job way back in 1979.

Into the Darkness - "Above all, do not succumb to despair" (tags)

This article is by William Rivers Pitt of the New York Times Syndicate. This, I think, reflects the fear all of us have over the ramifications of this war. But also, in the last paragraphs, reflects the need in our hearts and consciences to resist and not "succumb to despair." We owe America that much. Read on...
