Members of the Salvadoran community, their organizations, and their supporters... gather at the Salvadoran Consulate in Los Angeles, Wednesday, April 14, 2004, to protest the illegal U.S. occupation of Iraq. The protestors focused on the appalling U.S. military practice of using immigrants as soldiers... promising expedited citizenship proceedings for service. As a result many undocumented Latino workers have joined the U.S. military, and they are now doing combat duty in Iraq. Those killed in action are awarded "posthumous" U.S. citizenship!
