One of the more tragic elements of the culture of silence is that the dominated often internalize the oppressor – they become their own dominators, and behave toward themselves and each other much as the oppressor behaves toward them. This internalization is often created and maintained by the education system that is controlled by the elite.

January 29, ‘03 LOS ANGELES CA --- TPA members presented a position letter calling for the repeal of H. J. RES.114 (backed by petition) to congressman Waxman’s spokesperson. Waxman, who represents Topanga in the 30th Congressional District has been criticized for ignoring the interests of his constituents by voting for resolution H. J. 114. A copy of the TPA’s letter is attached.
