California will be part of Super Tuesday on February 7, 2012 when Alabama, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, Montana Republican caucuses, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Utah have their presidential primaries. The two peace parties on the California ballot are Peace & Freedom Party and the Green Party. Thousands marched in solidarity up Broadway to the headquarters of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (I.C.E.) in Los Angeles on Saturday to demonstrate for worker and immigration rights and for an end to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Voters Evolt! photographed the demonstration and produced a video set to “Clandestino” by Manu Chao, who sings about a illegal immigrant who is persecuted by unjust laws and forced to live in the shadows just because he is seeking a better life.
