A response to the recent actions in the Puget Sound against the police (tags)
This text is written from an anarchist analysis in response to the demo in Seattle, which was for five murders (now six) committed by the police in the general Puget Sound area. The text here is seen as more of a drawing of points for a larger discussion to occur on the very idea of the police, their role, place in society, and a strategy of how to act next:
October 22nd Coalition Against Police Brutality (tags)
More than 500 people showed up at the annual protest against police brutality. In 2002 the numbers were much higher. Last year many people could not make it because of the bus strike, and this year many people were busy, I suppose, with the coming election. In 2005 and 2006 thought, the October 22nd Coalition Against Police Brutality will be held respectively on Saturday and Sunday. Many people who could not otherwise attend this protest because of commintments at work or at school will come massively in the streets to protest the increasingly oppressing police state backed by fascist legislations such as the Home Land Security Law. We’ll see you there, and we’ll rock the house! Below find 10 images about this year event.
