The Los Angeles actions have gained a reputation for being among the city's most lively and most youth-oriented marches whose participants tend to be from the very communities targeted by police. With some thirty police murders logged since the beginning of year, protestors had plenty to be angry about.

LOS ANGELES, October 22, 2006 – Victims of police brutality marched with their friends and families in downtown Los Angeles today. The march took a route down Broadway to the LAPD headquarters at the Parker Center. About 450 people took part in the march. This reporter saw no incidences with the police or arrests.
