Democrat Chelsea Clinton's father, war criminal former president Democrat Bill Clinton, spent $5 million on his daughter's wedding, of which $2 million will be reimbursed by the taxpayers for the Secret Service, while we are in a Great Depression wtih massive starvation and homelessness, increasing daily. The Democrats are just as much a party of the rich as the Republicans Are you still registered Democrat?
ROTC Get Out, Stay Out! Obama Wants You to Serve Imperialism (tags)
Barack Obama dropped a bomb on his young enthusiasts at Columbia University on September 11. The heavily Democratic crowd booed McCain when he called for the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) to be brought back to campus (it was driven out in 1969 by protests against the Vietnam war). Liberal students expected a different answer from Columbia alum Obama, but the forum was a symphony of agreement as both candidates campaigned for expanding the military and pledged their enthusiastic support to U.S. imperialism. That should have been the tip-off for anyone who hadn't figured it out by then: Obama is no "peace candidate" but like McCain he is a certified imperialist war candidate.
With Barack Obama having won the Democratic Presidential nomination, he'll face a well-established Republican attack machine and propaganda apparatus within the corporate media. This editorial in the July 2008 Zenger's Newsmagazine also argues that progressives should support Obama, but keep the pressure on him by street activism to make sure he doesn't cop out and govern as the moderate, pro-corporate Democrat Bill Clinton was.

Michael Moore’s latest movie, Bowling for Columbine, is a must-see. Moore does an excellent job of connecting the military-industrial complex, in particular, Lockheed Martin, to the violence in this society, to the same complex’s propaganda machine called “TV News” and to the repeal of welfare, also known as the most vicious, racist, bipartisan (Democrat & Republican) attack on the workingclass of the 1990s, that continues to this date.
