The relentless anti-Syria propaganda of “The Independent” newspaper comes to a close (tags)
The final print edition of Britain's “progressive”, “pro-democracy” newspaper “The Independent” has been published on March 26th, 2016. It is worth remembering that with the launch of NATO’s genocidal wars on Libya and Syria in 2011, the long-discredited “anti-war” facade of “The Independent” had totally collapsed; despite the highly deceptive propaganda rhetoric of its gatekeeper “journalists” such as Robert Fisk. The front pages of “The Independent” compiled below illustrate the more blatant strand of its 5-year-long virulent, appalling anti-Syria propaganda.

6 years before the launch of a genocidal, never-ending and ever-expanding “global war on terror” across Asia and Africa, the funeral of the assassinated “hero of peace” Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin proved to be an opportune moment to discreetly reveal an overt military alliance between U.S., Israel, Turkey, Jordan and Egypt against Iraq, Iran, Syria, Libya and the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah.
Flashback:UK press glorifies savage assassination of President Gaddafi by NATO mercenaries (tags)
The sheer euphoria of the entire British press over President Muammar Gaddafi's savage assassination by NATO's mercenaries on the 8th month of the genocidal invasion of Libya betrayed an absolute moral bankruptcy of the predatory imperialist alliance of NATO countries, Arab monarchies and Israel.

As French President Francois Hollande calls for the “neutralization of Bashar Assad”, British Defence Minister Michael Fallon announces preparations for “Striking ISIL in Syria [...] [to] keep our streets safe here at home” and Turkish media proclaims “Aleppo to become the 82nd province of Turkey” ; it is worth remembering the September 2011 visits by the arch-war criminals French President Nicolas Sarkozy, British Prime Minister David Cameron and Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the NATO-occupied Libya.

"Yemeni Major General Khalid al-Barayemi said that the revolutionary forces found the chemical weapons in several Saudi trucks bound for areas under terrorists' control. US & EU 'govt' & 'news' media Aleppo war propaganda debunked as criminal legal nihilism (tags)
The entire spectrum of US & EU government propaganda machine pointedly avoids the self evident fact that Hezbollah, and the Syrian and Iranian governments are the only axis of any kind of actual resistance across the Middle East to the legal nihilism of Genocidal US & EU ‘governments’.
Flashback to 2001: President Assad to Prime Minister Blair:'Stop bombing Afghan civilians' (tags)
Reading the transcript of a joint press conference by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and British Prime Minister Tony Blair, which was held on the 25th day of the Anglo-American-led invasion of Afghanistan, makes it abundantly clear why another Anglo-American-led genocidal war had been launched against Syria nearly ten years later.

Flashback to 2013: Obama: "I am ready to bomb Syria" (tags)
The front pages below from August 2013 constitute a vivid example of the relentless and utterly deceptive war propaganda against Syria. Now, with utmost impunity, the perpetrators of the genocidal war on Syria are declaring their plan to bombard Syrian territory under the guise of "collaborating" with the Syrian government against the "terrorists" who, in reality, are NATO's mercenary death squads.

Flashback: President Assad: US seeks war on Iraq in order to redraw the map of Middle East (tags)
“We all know the masks that were used. At first the United States proposed the issue of the return of [weapons] inspectors [to Iraq]. Later, it spoke about the implementation of the UN and Security Council resolutions. It then spoke about the weapons of mass destruction. Later they said the problem lay in the regime itself. They then began to talk about democracy and human rights. Now they give the promise of development in Iraq and our region in general after this war. […] The [real] issue was that of taking control of the world and the region. The issue was one of oil and oil was one of the instruments used to control the world. The issue was one of re-drawing the map in the manner that suited them and, of course, suited Israel […]. The issue is one of destroying the infrastructure of Iraq” [Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, speech at the Arab League summit, Sharm el-Sheikh, 1 March 2003. This speech was delivered three weeks before the invasion of Iraq.]
Propaganda & censorship alert: NATO countries' media coverage of the elections in Syria (tags)
The June 3 presidential election in Syria was a massive defeat for the NATO countries which have been collectively waging a genocidal war on Syria since 2011. Apart few exceptions, this momentous event was conspicuously absent from the front pages of US, British, French, German, Italian and Turkish newspapers. Those few that reported it on the front page did so in the habitual propaganda format. Meanwhile, few others went as far as publishing anti-Syria propaganda reports on their front page without making any reference to the presidential election.

"Proof of chemical attack": Same old lies ahead of the presidential election in Syria (tags)
In a desperate attempt to sabotage the upcoming presidential election in Syria, the mass media constantly reiterate the same old lies about “chemical weapon attacks”. They must be held to account for their major role in the three-year long NATO-led genocidal war on Syria.
Propaganda alert: US and UN object to the holding of presidential elections in Syria (tags)

NATO and Turkey’s genocidal war on Syria (tags)
Cem Ertür’s account of the crimes committed by Turkey and NATO in the ongoing war against Syria is laid out in meticulous detail and supported by a rich and credible bibliography. Much of this important information is from his reading of original reports published in the Turkish language which English readers would never otherwise hear. This report provides a convincing, up-to-date indictment of the governments of Turkey, other NATO countries and Israel for their savage, furtive war against the Syrian people and government. Cem’s spotlight illuminates a cross-border stage, exposing those hiding in the shadows of the media’s deceptive and confusing language.
Flashback to 1991: "Kuwait freed, Iraqis crushed" (tags)

Throughout the duration of the bombing, explosives equivalent to seven nuclear bombs were dropped, in addition to internationally banned biological and chemical weapons."
