War poker and Imperial moralism (tags)
After the fall of the Soviet Union, the "war on terrorism" began, which, according to George W. Bush, would end "tyranny in the world." Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq - the U.S. democratic crusades not only cost several million lives, they also brought the restriction of freedoms.
Nato expansion or democracy expansion (tags)
The Nato eastward enlargement is for a long time the central - not the only - background of a development dangerous for the world. No justification of any kind for the crime of the war against the Ukraine by the Russian government can be derived from this statement!

The Socialist Origins of the Pledge of Allegiance (tags)
Francis Bellamy, a Christian socialist, wrote the Pledge of Allegiance in 1892 as a critique of the rampant greed, misguided materialism, and hyper-individualism of the Gilded Age. But you'd never know that by reading CNN contributor Bob Greene's column earlier this week called "The Peculiar History of the Pledge of Allegiance."

“Nommogeneity” Explores African-American Poetry and Culture (tags)
It took two years to make and it's only 32 minutes long, but Terrence Stubbs’ film “Nommogeneity” is a powerful portrayal of cutting-edge African-American poetry and culture that's well worth seeing. Stubbs, a former stand-up comedian turned film student and TV producer, landed the legendary Amiri Baraka (shown reading his provocative 9/11 poem) as well as many younger African-American poets strongly influenced by him. The film — whose title comes from the twin gods in African mythology who brought humanity the gifts of language and writing — shows young poets working in a politically and socially conscious vein instead of writing “love jones” poems or odes to gangsterism and conspicuous consumption.

BOOK REVIEW ON THE FINAL THEORY (tags)
THE FINAL THEORY, Rethinking our Scientific Legacy was apparently a best selling book indicating less understanding of physics than I do. Mark Mcrutchen is the author, the promotions are online, and supposedly has had good reviews by unreliable sources of information. The promotions for the book are internet virus bait including a free first chapter. Guess what I found without reading the whole book? Bullshit maybe?

We seek total information awareness about the personal lives, purchases, relationships, entertainment interests, reading habits, and travels of each and every employee of DARPA. As the cutting edge of the fascist attack upon our rights and privacy, DARPA employees pose a significant risk to the safety of our democracy. It is our hope that total awareness of all details of the lives of all DARPA employees will aid in our patriotic task of keeping America safe for democracy
