Thanks to everyone who made the first LA Social Forum a success. We had over three hundred and fifty registrations the first two days and handed out 425 programs.

You will hear Navy vet, Maricela Guzman, speak of her rape and of the military's continued resistance of her plight. You will hear conscientious objector, Agustín Aguayo, speak of his resistance to injustices imposed upon military troops serving in Iraq. You will hear Olga Aguayo speak of 'coping' mechanisms the military offers families whose loved ones are serving in Iraq, and you will also hear Olga speak of her husband, Agustín's, case which is now at the Supreme Court level.
