Journalist David Neiwert will be the featured speaker at the September informational meeting of Peace Works! in Temecula Valley on September 24, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Temecula United Methodist Church, and is a free event which is open to the public. David Neiwert is a journalist whose work has appeared in The Washington Post, Salon, and MSNBC.com. His latest book, "DEATH ON THE FOUR OF JULY: The Story of a Killing, a Trial, and Hate Crime in America", discusses hate crimes in a broad context as well as focusing on a particular July 4, 2000 incident in Ocean Shores, Washington.
