A solid turnout in the middle of a County in transition to not only a Democratic majority, but also producing more Democratic representatives.

OC for decades had been a reliable Republican area, often producing the most enthusiastic Goldwater-grade conservatives.

In recent years, though, as the national GOP has gone racist, the appeal of the national platform to California Republicans has waned or tanked, leading to the Democratic supermajority in the state legislature.

We don't hate Mexicans here in California. They're probably our favorite "minority group", which isn't even a minority, because it's the largest racial category in the state.

I used to imagine that maybe the GOP from CA had some spine, and could thwart the rightward, anti-POC anti-immigrant drift within their party. Well, I guess I was wrong. They fucked up, bad, and deserve every loss they suffer.
