by Patrice Faubert Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023 at 1:36 PM

Jamais aucune pause

Rarement une rose

La fosse commune

Car tu n'as pas de pécune

Carré des indigents

Car tu n'as pas d'argent

Toujours pareil, jamais de soleil

Mais une fois la mort

Ils se valent tous, nos sorts

Mais une fois la mort

Sont particules d'univers, nos corps

Et au fond, alors

La mort n'est que la mort

Mais nous en faisons des rituels

Mais nous en faisons des ritournelles

Nous en remplissons nos gamelles

De la propagande, de la guerre, pêle-mêle

Fosse commune

Carré des indigents

Ceux et celles dont personne ne veut

Comme jadis, les gueuses et les gueux

Peu nous chaut des appellations

Qui sont des traditions

Qui sont toutes des propagandes

Qui vont toutes en diverses bandes

Chaque pays

En fait des simagrées

Chaque pays

In France

If you don't have any money

When you die, it's the square of the destitute

What awaits you

This is the common grave

For those who don't have money

And if after five years

Your body is unclaimed

Make way for others, you have to burn it

One way, without any dearness

To be cremated

Without the flowers and wreaths

For those who love it, don't care

The municipality takes care of you

Underground, you'll still be on the fringes

The Market of Death

Is not the death of the market

It is the market of the richest, therefore of the strongest

The class struggle without any subtlety

The indigent square

Already we are expected

No time

To make a toilet

No time

To do some shopping

The indigent square

Awaits us, in its oblivion

For the poor, in France or elsewhere

It's always the same time

Never no break

Rarely a rose

The mass grave

Because you don't have any money

Destitute square

'Cause you ain't got no money

Always the same, never sunshine

But once death

They are all equal, our spells

But once death

Are particles of universe, our bodies

And basically, then

Death is just death

But we make rituals out of it

But we make jingles out of it

We fill our bowls

Propaganda, war, pell-mell

Pauper's grave

Destitute square

Those that no one wants

As in the past, beggars and beggars

Little do we care about appellations

which are traditions

which are all propaganda

Which all go in various bands

Each country

In fact antics

Each country

With his ceremonial, in fact his skill

It's the class struggle

In cemeteries, with or without a trace

Then death, anonymously, is the square of the destitute

And as you know

By intimates, I would like to be eaten

But no fantasy allowed in this area

Who like all things, at all codified by hatred

And too bad for this desire

When everything for me is over

Wait for me

make room for me

Finally we will be the kings

In death, because life was rapacious to us
