As\r\nthe Iran nuclear deal continues to dominate\r\ninternational headlines, shock waves of sorts have been reverberating\r\nin Israel\r\nafter it was revealed that recordings had been released by former prime\r\nminister [1999-2001] and defense minister [2007-2013] Ehud Barak in\r\nwhich [Israel’s]\r\nalleged plans to strike Iran [...] had been graphically discussed [in\r\n2010, 2011\r\nand 2012].\r\n

\r\nOn\r\nMonday, an unnamed Israeli senior security official\r\ntold Walla news that his country’s military is more prepared now than\r\nin\r\nprevious years to conduct a strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities should\r\nthe\r\norders be handed down to do so.\r\n

In recent\r\nweeks, analysts have noticed a historic alignment that has taken hold\r\nbetween Hezbollah and the Lebanese military. For the first time ever,\r\nIDF [Israel Defense Forces] Northern Command soldiers manning lookout\r\nposts have noticed that Hezbollah and Lebanese troops have been\r\nconducting joint patrols. Now Israeli military officials are wondering\r\njust how deep the cooperation between the two organizations extends.<\/span>
<\/span>
Israel is\r\ndisturbed by these developments, and it has communicated its concerns\r\nto world powers. In some cases, Israeli officials have made clear their\r\nredlines regarding the nature and quality of weaponry it will permit\r\nthe Lebanese forces to possess.<\/span>
<\/span>
An\r\ninteresting dynamic has taken shape between Hezbollah and the Lebanese\r\ngovernment, and Israel is not taking it lightly. Hezbollah today has\r\nmembers of parliament and enough government ministers that can tilt\r\nmajor decisions in its direction. Will the Lebanese military fight\r\nalongside Hezbollah in the next war? Israel does not rule this out, and\r\nas such is preparing for the eventuality. [...]<\/span>

On the day\r\nthat hostilities erupt, the northern communities will be evacuated. In\r\ntheir place will come battalions of combat troops. The evacuation plans\r\nhave already been prepared, as have the plans for an attack on the\r\nother side of the border. Israel will unleash the full extent of its\r\nmight and do all in its power in order to finish the next round within\r\ndays.<\/span>
<\/span>
The army’s\r\ncomprehensive new strategic plan, recently unveiled by IDF Chief of\r\nStaff Lt.-Gen. Gadi Eisenkot, leaves no room for excuses. When the IDF\r\nembarks on the next war, it will stop only after it completes its\r\nmission. That means it will cease its fire after the enemy raises the\r\nwhite flag of surrender – or after the world stops the army from\r\nbattering Hezbollah and bombarding Lebanese territory.<\/span>

The\r\nIDF [Israel Defense Forces] has already prepared plans to attack Syria\r\nin light of a recent military\r\nassessment that Iran has opened a new front against Israel on the Golan\r\nHeights.

\r\nMilitary\r\nexercises in the area over the last two weeks have focused primarily on\r\na\r\nscenario of offensive operations inside Syrian territory in response to\r\npossible action from the Syrian border such as the infiltration of\r\ndozens of\r\nterrorists armed with anti-tank weapons, machine guns, grenades and\r\nlight\r\nweapons into one of the communities along the border.\r\n

\r\nThe\r\nexercises included possible IDF responses to such infiltrations with\r\ntroops\r\nfiring at fixed points on the Syrian side of the border.\r\nSimultaneously,\r\nofficials expect a barrage of mortar bombs to be fired at communities\r\nin the\r\nGolan Heights during such a scenario.
