Student Financial aid\r\nAbolishing student loans will reduce college costs!!\r\nCollege including two-year community college has become expensive
\r\nbecause state legislators from the Democratic party believe
\r\nthat students can borrow an unlimited amount of money from
\r\nthe federal government to attend college so college enrollment
\r\nis no longer subsidized by states.<\/b>
\r\n My opinion is that if the federal government were to suddenly abolish
\r\n\r\nstudent loans that the teachers union would panic and require the state
\r\nlegislatures to fully reinstate state subsidies at least for in state
\r\nstudents so college will then become as cheap as what your grandparents
\r\npaid for it only one year after student loans are ABOLISHED!!<\/b>

\r\n\r\nPROBLEM WITH JURY DUTY..\r\n When I had second semester physics in Fall of 2010\r\nour teacher announced that she was being summoned to\r\nmandatory jury duty right after the end of the semester.\r\n Later I found out that she had covered only 66% of\r\nthe course material on the syllabus.\r\nShe did not cover the last third of the semester because she had\r\nto simplify the final exam so she could grade it quickly so she could\r\nshow up for jury duty right after the end of the semester.\r\n---------------------------------------------------------------------\r\nChanging to an all volunteer jury system for EVERY COURT will\r\nhelp education.\r\n people will choose whether and when to serve on a jury after a\r\nall volunteer jury system is implemented by the legislature or\r\nballot proposition.\r\n Volunteers will choose a starting month and a courthouse that they\r\ncan get to.\r\n During that starting month that volunteer will be randomly chosen\r\nfor a trial at that courthouse.\r\n All jurors including teachers will be able to choose a starting\r\nmonth after full sized final exams have been graded so there will\r\nbe no more classes cut short by teacher jury duty and students will no\r\nlonger have to drop out of school and repay Pell grants to serve on\r\na jury.\r\n----------------------------------------------------------------------\r\n
\r\nPell grants need fixing\r\nBeginning in Spring 2014 semester all students who fail
\r\na majority of their classes will be required to REPAY their Pell grants
\r\n\r\nbecause of a MISTAKE in the Pell grant law.\r\n The Pell grant law needs to be changed so that the clause that requires
\r\nstudents to repay their Pell grants AFTER they fail a majority of their
\r\nclasses is replaced with the clause:
\r\nBEFORE any student applies for or receives any Pell grant a High School
\r\nExit Exam including an algebra TEST must be completed to show that that
\r\nstudent is already prepared<\/b> to succeed in college!!
